Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 1, 2026

At StreamFluent, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register for StreamFluent, we collect your name, email address, and encrypted password. If you sign up via a third-party provider (e.g., Google), we receive the information permitted by your authorization.

Usage & Streaming Data

We collect data about how you use our platform, including stream session metadata (duration, language pairs, destination platforms), feature usage patterns, and performance metrics. We do not store the raw audio or video content of your streams beyond what is temporarily required to process real-time AI dubbing.

Payment Information

Billing and payment details are processed by Stripe. StreamFluent does not store your full credit card number. We retain transaction records (amount, date, plan) for accounting and support purposes.

Technical & Device Data

We automatically collect IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, and pages visited. This information helps us diagnose issues and improve our service.

Communications

If you contact us via email or our contact form, we retain those communications to respond to your inquiries and improve our support.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the StreamFluent service
  • Process transactions and send related information (confirmations, invoices)
  • Send transactional emails (password resets, plan changes)
  • Send product updates and announcements (you may opt out at any time)
  • Respond to support requests and resolve disputes
  • Monitor and analyze usage to improve performance and reliability
  • Measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and attribute conversions (e.g., via Google Ads and Google Analytics)
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate StreamFluent (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.
  • Streaming platforms (Twitch, YouTube, etc.) to the extent required to deliver your streams to those destinations β€” only with your explicit authorization.
  • Law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of StreamFluent, our users, or the public.
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided the acquiring entity agrees to honor this Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies & Tracking

StreamFluent uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in across sessions (authentication cookies)
  • Remember your preferences (e.g., dark mode)
  • Analyze traffic and usage via Vercel Analytics (privacy-focused, no personal data sent to third parties)
  • Track affiliate referrals to ensure commissions are credited correctly

Advertising & Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and understand how users find and interact with our service. These services may set cookies (such as _ga, _gid, and _gcl_aw) to identify returning visitors, attribute conversions to specific ad clicks, and measure campaign performance. We implement Google Consent Mode v2: by default, advertising and analytics cookies are not stored until you provide consent via our cookie banner. When consent is denied, Google receives privacy-safe signals for modeled conversions without storing cookies on your device. When you grant consent, full cookie-based tracking is enabled. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You may also manage advertising preferences via Google's Ad Settings page.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our service.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g., billing records for tax purposes, which are retained for 7 years).

Stream session audio processed by our AI pipeline is retained only as long as necessary to complete the dubbing and is not stored beyond the session.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access β€” Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction β€” Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion β€” Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability β€” Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection β€” Object to certain processing activities (e.g., direct marketing)
  • Restriction β€” Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@streamfluent.ai. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

7. Security

We take security seriously. StreamFluent uses industry-standard measures including TLS/HTTPS for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest, strict access controls with the principle of least privilege, regular security reviews and penetration testing, and SOC 2-aligned practices for our infrastructure.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@streamfluent.ai.

8. Children's Privacy

StreamFluent is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at support@streamfluent.ai.

9. International Data Transfers

StreamFluent operates globally and your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your home country, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by prominently posting a notice on our website at least 7 days before the changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects when this policy was last revised. Continued use of StreamFluent after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
